Some screen doors have vinyl tracks that have to be pulled out before the screen can be removed.

Hi, perchance you lot can help me. I have Pella screen door and patio door assembly. Information technology is about 140 inches wide (4 35 inch sections) past 78 inches tall. There are 2 sliding screen panels that each measure 35x78. I accept no role numbers, but I believe the door was put in when the business firm was originally built in 95; still, it may have been several years after when the original owners did some upgrades.

The left most panel (when looking from the inside), no longer slides smoothly; information technology is non completely obstructed, just it is very hard to movement and you lot will more often than not have to pull with equal strength from the top half and bottom halfs of the panel.

If I grab the left side of the panel and elevator information technology up and down, in that location is certainly more play then if I move the correct side of the panel. This led me to believe that 1 roller barbarous out of its track. Later on a closer examination (I take never removed the door) I believe the left most roller is actually missing altogether.

This wheel appears to be missing on the damaged side.

Yeah yous can replace the rollers in Pella screen doors. More likely thats the but problem with your doors.

Just affair is can I ask you to get a close up shot of one of the rollers and e-mail it to me (dunevein at gmail dot com) along with the pictures you lot submitted here.

As I recall these doors have extra big diameter rollers. Either 1-1/4" or 1-ane/2" diameter. If there is whatever fashion y'all can remove the door and take the pic looking into the lesser of the door that would be great.

To remove the door there should exist two half moon shaped notches somewhere along the lesser track. Line upwards one roller upward with each notch and pull the door toward you lot and information technology should come up off hands.

Removed a few screws but can't remove the door to replace the screen.

I am assuming you accept a Pella screen door with the screen door on the inside. If you look at the lesser track, y'all should a couple of half moon shaped cutouts.

Loosen the screws, as you have done and line upwardly the rollers right above the half moon shaped cutouts so pull the bottom of the door toward y'all.

It should come off easily.

I take Pella sliding patio doors. I've encountered 2 problems. First, the screen door latch bankrupt. I fixed it co-ordinate to instructions found on the internet - bought a new nylon latch, removed the broken one, replaced with new. Merely the jump no longer engages. I can't become the entire latch box out to fiddle with that and at that place's no manner to get at the spring while the box is still in the door.

2nd, a number of my sealed windows have taken condensation. They are fully sealed and cannot be separated to dry out. One or 2 accept go seriously dry rotted every bit a issue.

Although the warranty is 20 years on the windows (this was reported at about the 12 yr mark) the company says this is not a window defect merely parts or materials or some such.

I have ii floors of porches with 7 sliding doors on each porch. At near $4000 apiece to supersede, I'm not a happy camper. My alternatives seem to exist
